Main Street Financial is a boutique accounting firm located in Livingston, New Jersey.   We provide a full range of personalized financial services to individuals and small businesses located in the tri-state area, as well as to international clients with operations in the United States.  The scope of our services includes accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and financial counseling.  We also have as a member of our team a wealth management firm allowing us to offer our clients financial services including lifecylce financial planning, investment management and insurance strategies.

Main Street Financial's business client base includes businesses in diverse industries, with a concentration in the professional services, real estate and non-profit areas, which is a direct result of our expertise in these fields.  We specialize in helping small business owners launch their businesses.  Once established, we continue working closely with these start-ups as a "Controller for Hire", ensuring their businesses continue to grow and thrive.  In addition, with a team member from our wealth management firm, we can offer our business clients additional services including corporate retirement plans, corporate benefits and exit and succession planning strategies.

Karen H Garland, CPA is the Managing Member of Main Street Financial.  She has more than thirty years of experience as a CPA in accounting, tax and financial consulting in many diverse industries.   Karen began her career with Arthur Andersen & Co.  She also spent many years in the not-for-profit world before re-entering public accounting and starting her own accounting firm.  Karen has held numerous volunteer positions within the community.

The rest of the Main Street Financial team is comprised of full-time and part-time accountants, bookkeepers and administrative assistants, all working together to provide personal, responsive service to our client family.
